Ultimate Collector's LEGO Millenium Falcon

Millenium Falcon

This is it! Probably the biggest, most impressive LEGO Star Wars Model ever!

The Millenium Falcon has to be the most iconic starships of all time, and here's your chance to own one for your desk (the kids might want it too though).

Have you ever dreamed of being able to play with your own loading ramp - you know, the one the Han, Luke, Ben and Chewbacca had to run up to avoid the Imperial stormtroopers in Mos Eisley?

How about those impressive landing gear?

Would you like to pretend you're sitting inside the cockpit, watching storms of Imperial TIE fighters flying towards you on an intercept mission?

It's all here.

This has to be one of the largest LEGO sets you can buy, with over 5000 pieces. That's enough for a full weekend of entertaining construction. The kit is amazingly detailed and provides a superb model of the exterior of the Millenium Falcon.

This model is huge. It's 3 feet long so you'll either need a very large desk or a deep shelf to display it. Maybe you could borrow the dining table for a while!!

LEGO minifigures are supplied, so you can role play with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa in the cockpit. This new version doesn't include the fully-detailed interior from earlier models, so I'm afraid you won't be able to play holgraphic chess, man the lasers or have your first force experience (fighting the floating ball with a lightsaber whilst wearing a helmet)

If you're into realistic moving parts, you'll be pleased to hear that the laser quad-laser turrets on the top and bottom both rotate, so you can take out any pesky TIE fighters that come close. The boarding ramp goes up and down, and the radar dish rotates too.

The other good news is that this isn't really a toy, so you can legitimately tell the kids it doesn't fly (they won't be able to lift it anyway). It's designed to provide an amazingly accurate model of the exterior of the Falcon, and the only place where you can see inside is the cockpit (that's the coolest bit anyway)

If you do ever decide to take the model apart, you'll end up with a boxfull of useful LEGO. Do you really want to take apart a 5000 piece model though?

The downsides? There's no C-3PO or R2-D2, so you'll have to buy them somewhere else.
